14:30 | 17:00 – Moliceiro Trip, Visit to salt pans and visit to a
“Sweet eggs” store
Participants of the HSCI2014 will be invited to a tour on board of the traditional boat “Moliceiro” along the “Ria de Aveiro” channels.
Participants will also visit the salt pans.
Salt pans shows its visitors the traditional methods of salt production and collection that nowadays are still made on the traditional way, especially “salt flower”, a product that requires a very keen and great experience. This visit explores the experiences linked to this activity, as well as the characteristics landscape, flora and fauna.
After Moliceiro trip and the salt pans, a visit to a “Sweet eggs” store will take place and given the opportunity to know about all the historical surroundings associated to this traditional sweet and many other convent sweets from the region of Aveiro.
